GARRETT, IN (NWPR) – On view through Sunday, December 21, 2025, “Women Take the Walls” at the Garrett Museum of Art showcases 19 visionary artists who use an array of mediums in their artworks that reflect their inspirations and their reimagining of realities.
The exhibit of artists are: Cherry Tung; Amy Segami; Vivian Visser of Chicago, IL; Jessica Grissom, Saugatuck, MI; Kasey Wallace; Ruth Koomler, Fort Wayne; Emily Moores; Lisa Merida-Paytes, Cincinnati; Kim Rice, Baltimore, MD; Gina Wolfrum, Hicksville, OH; Brooke Major, Clayton, GA; Karla Fuller, Oconomowoc, WI; H. Highwater, Grand Ledge, MI; Jasmine McGlade, Denver, CO; Sherie Hampshire, Fennville, MI; Liz Barick Fall, Ann Arbor, MI; Pete Steele, Indianapolis; Mel Kolstad, Fond du Lac, WI; and Migena Furxhi of Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Works on view include painting with water, photography with mixed media, nature based sculptures, handmade jewelry, mythological bronze sculptures, contemporary paintings, painting on silk, hair sculpture, wire/paper sculptures, forest floor collages, mixed media art, sculpted oil paintings and a hand-cut paper/painting installation.
