Series continues in expansion mode

• The children’s series emphasizes the importance of learning, growing, and believing in oneself, which are core tenets of the Art-to-Art educational program and likely influenced by the author’s own upbringing and the inspiring figures in his life.

The Magic Box of Tales & Truths – Series IV – Tirone” is an enchanting story about a curious boy growing up in Michigan’s lakeside town of Empire.

Through vivid storytelling, Tirone’s father shares humorous and imaginative tales about different ships—trains, cruise ships, cargo vessels, tugboats, and navy ships—bringing the ocean’s adventures to life.

The story, “The Boy Who Grew Up With the Sea in His Heart” also touches upon Tirone’s exciting future as a seasoned captain exploring the world’s oceans, inspiring young readers to dream big, embrace adventure, and believe in their own journey ahead.

As Tirone’s love for the sea deepens, he learns important lessons about kindness, responsibility, and perseverance.

‘Tirone-IV’ continues the Magic Box of Tales & Truths children’s books series that began with Series I-Maggie, Series II-Elizabeth, and Series III-Samantha as well as those to come, whose mission are an extension of Art-to-Art: Building Friendships Through Art (1986-2002), that became a national k-12 art education program that bridged the gap between art and other subjects like Geography, History, Reading, Writing, and Communications through Human Relations.

The program started with 3 schools in Ohio, Indiana and Wisconsin, peaking at over 400 schools in 42 states, had an estimated print media exposure of 50 million from school’s participation as the Art-to-Art children’s projects rotated every 8 weeks, including its national shows held in different states annually.

But there is more, being, the strong interconnectedness and thematic connections between Ben Rayman’s novel, Wisdom of Nana via Gebo Passage, and his Magic Box of Tales & Truths children’s book series that carries forward the program’s goal of integrating art with other subjects. The books, like the Art-to-Art program, aim to inspire young readers to dream big, embrace adventure, and believe in their own journey, embodying the spirit of encouragement that was central to Pat Rayman’s work.

The books act as powerful duo in the preservation of the literary legacy and the mission of Art-to-Art: Building Friendships Through Art program. In essence, the “Magic Box of Tales & Truths” series serves as a living extension of Patricia Rayman’s vision and dedication to education and fostering positive human relations through the power of art. By weaving these values into captivating stories, the series keeps her legacy alive and inspires children to embrace creativity, kindness, and understanding.
